About me and my practice
I am a South African who moved to the UK in 2007. I was trained in Christian Counselling / Ministry in South Africa and Canada and furthered my training in the UK with a Level 4 Diploma in Person-Centered. My passion is to help people, overcome devastating and life changing issues to fulfill their potential and purpose.
I have had work experience in the corporate sector, business ownership and full time ministry and have the ability with ease, to relate to people with empathy,sincerity and compassion.
Following my Level 4 Diploma Qualification I have established a successful Private Practice and in addition still do pro-bono work for a local Drug/Alcohol Rehab Centre, and Group Therapy Sessions at a Refuge for survivors of Domestic Violence/Abuse.
I work with young adults, adult couples and adult individuals.
Experience
As a member of a Christian Counselling team in South Africa and Canada from 2001 - 2015, I gained valuable experience in Biblical Based Counselling Principles and Methods.
My Level 4 diploma in the UK, has expanded my training and experience and I now also work with Non-Faith Based, and other Faith Based clients, including those recovering from addictions, survivors of rape and sexual abuse, trauma and relationship issues. I have been trained in Pre-Trial Therapy for those engaged in legal and court proceedings following rape / sexual abuse.
I work with couples to resolve marital/relationship issues and clients with PTSD, ADHD & Trauma.
I find that using integrative methods including EMDR,IFS and Schema Therapy depending on the needs of my client, has produced favourable outcomes for my clients.
Qualifications
Training in Christian Counselling / Ministry in South Africa & Canada
Level 4 Diploma in Person-Centered Counselling in the UK.
Experience in EMDR & IFS & Schema Therapy through CPD online training.
Trained in Pre-Trial Therapy for survivors of Sexual Abuse who are engaged in Legal & Court Proceedings.

Initial Consultation
I offer a free 15 minute consultation on the phone to establish your counselling needs, and to ascertain if we are a good fit to work together. Following the consultation I will email you some guidelines of what to expect from our counselling work together, and a copy of my counselling agreement for your perusal.
Once you agree to proceed I will then ask you to provide me some background information on yourself prior to our 1st session.
Fees
Fees will be discussed at our consultation meeting.
When I Work
I offer both face to face or online sessions depending on your preference and proximity to my counselling office.
My working hours are as follows:
Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm
